Question
I'm buying my wife a block set of kitchen knives for her birthday...think I'm going with a Henckles set. I know her well, I'm sure she's going to love it. I've asked for advice about which brand, a couple people seem to think this is an inappropriate gift for a woman. Why would cooking supplies be inappriopriate when guys are always asking for tools? I got a floor jack for Valentines Day and couldn't be happier... P.S. I am not a redneck, I'm pretty well educated so keep the snide comments to yourselves.
Answer
I think kitchen knife sets are a wonderful idea for a present. Some of the highest quality kitchen knife brands are the German J.A. Henckels and Wusthof. The set may include... - a chef's knife. - a paring knife. - a bread knife. - a wood block for storing knives. - steel for honing. - scissors... Choose a set that includes knives your wife firmly intends to use (some sets contain a great number of knives, some of which she may never use). If you aren't sure what kind of knife set to choose, please click on the following link for more information about kitchen knife sets. http://www.helpful-kitchen-tips.com/cutlery/kitchen-knife-sets/index.html All the best, Ganka Permalink:
